GM NODIRBEK ABDUSATTOROV: THE KEY TO SUCCESS IS TO FOCUS ON GOALS, NOT OBSTACLES

02/June/2023 – Amazing piece coordination and tactics by Super GM Nodirbek Abdusattorov. In just one mistake from white, resulted in a winning endgame for black. This is a good example on how to handle the Queen’s Gambit Accepted. Another weapon for you to use in the future. Thank you and be safe always.

The 2nd featured game: Very nice game from Super GM Sarin Nihal. White was not able to pressure black, I am liking now the Queen’s Gambit Accepted setup it seems a reliable opening against 1. d4. I hope you enjoyed and would be playing the QGA soon. Thank you and have a nice day.

GM FABIANO CARUANA: EXCELLENT DEFENSIVE SKILLS

26/May/2023 – Very accurate defense by Super GM Fabiano Caruana. It looks like he set up a trap, allowing black pieces to come in. Now if black moves 23…Nxf2 then simply 24. Nf4 trapping the queen at h3. Amazing imagination by black, only with strong courage and will to withstand a rampaging Benko Gambit Attack. Fantastic Game!!! Loved it…Thank you all, keep safe always…

The 2nd featured game: What can I say, this game is very enjoyable to watch. Super GM Maxime Vachier Lagrave is such a fighter. In his other game I annotated before I called him ” The Rambo of Chess”. I hope you also enjoyed it and learned from it. Thanks, and Keep safe Always.

GM WESLEY SO: IMAGINATION IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN KNOWLEDGE

22/May/2023 – Wonderful game!!! How tricky the triple pawn idea is. Well done, Super GM Wesley So. This reminds every chess player to not mind relaxing but to think deeply or be mindful against incoming threats or tactical strategies. I hope you learned from this game. God Bless You all…

The 2nd featured game: Nice strategic play by Super GM Hikaru Nakamura. White cannot prevent the pawn at a4 to go to a2 square and the rook at a8 will move via d8 to d2 attacking the f2 pawn and occupying the 7th rank for both rooks which is winning. This is an example that as long as there are still active pieces no matter how bad the pawn structure, anything can happen. Thank you for the support… keep positive minded. Cheers…

GM ALIREZA FIROUZJA: TOXIC PRECISION

20/May/2023 – Very entertaining game from both GMs. Congratulations to Super GM Alireza Firouzja, he held his hopes high and deserved a fantastic win. What a fighting game, I have never thought black would lose having a solid and good defense in the middle game, still, anything can happen in chess.

The 2nd featured game: Amazing!!!  After white’s 13. e5 move, Super GM Caruana dictated the tempo of the game. Black has no clear path to level the position but just reacting to white’s threat. Since white is pawn up, in the endgame, it is much easier to find the winning moves. Great game… Super GM Fabiano Caruana. I hope you enjoyed the game and thank you for your support. GM IAN NEPOMNIACHTCHI: THE SICILIAN DEFENSE SLAYER

19/May/2023 – AMAZING GAME. It is a beauty to see the outcome of 11. Bb5 move, and unusual to see 3 pawns rolled together to restrain the rook at b8. I really enjoyed this game and learned a lot. The 2nd featured game: Incredible game by Super GM Ian Nepomniachtchi. His moves are very calculating making sure all sides are safe away from any complications. White’s opening idea 6. Qf3 is a force to reckon against the Sicilian Najdorf since the theme is extra aggressive. Many chess followers would love to use this line to be one of their opening arsenal. GM DING LIREN: NO FEAR, TAKE THE b2 and a2 pawn.

17/May/2023 – FANTASTIC!!!  Very nice game by the current World Champ Ding Liren. This game has so much energy and firepower. White generously sacrificed pawns but were not sufficient to create an advantageous position. In the endgame, it was already clear that black will be victorious because of pawn superiority and threats from the pair of knights. Thank you for your support and God Bless you all. Keep safe always…

The 2nd featured game: Excellent game!!! Every 100 years, there’s always a born genius either in music, science, mathematics, sports or chess. GM MAXIME VACHIER-LAGRAVE: UNPREDICTABLE TACTICS

13/May/2023 – Super GM Maxime Vachier Lagrave played flawlessly while Super GM Wesley So was not able to recover after the move 11.Nf7. What we learned from this game is that when the king is uncastled and stays at center, it will be difficult to develop immobile or cramped pieces. Black dictated the game from opening to the end. Fantastic game. I hope you learned how to play the “Evan’s Gambit”.

GM MAGNUS CARLSEN: THE "GOAT"

11/May/2023 – This is a quick win by World Champion GM Magnus Carlsen versus Super GM Maxime Vachier Lagrave. Black dictated the game, the 7…gf6 is an excellent theoretical move versus the Scotch Gambit. I hope you have learned and enjoyed this game.

The 2nd featured game: This is a one-sided game. White was not able to counter black’s offense. It really matters heavily when a pair of bishops in an open position is always a factor in penetrating dark or light square weaknesses. Fantastic game..Super GM Fabiano Caruana. GM WESLEY SO: MASTER OF CHESS THEORY

07/May/2023 – White played carefully in this game, he made sure that there was no drawing chances in the rook ending. Moreover, the game went spectacularly in the sense, where the start of black’s misery when the e5 pawn was left hanging. Fantastic game by the American/Filipino Super GM Wesley So.

The 2nd featured game: This game is very easy for white, GM Mikhail Panarin knows well what to do when black’s king castle is kingside. It is really unpleasant for black because most of white’s forces are aiming at destroying black’s defensive structure.

The 2nd featured game: amazing game and courage by GM Denis Lazavik. Rating is not a factor when your will demands to win. Fantastic ideas and such a complicated game to play white’s 10.
