The Killer Trompovsky

The Trompovsky variation can be your surprise weapon during crucial match-up. This variation avoids Indian defense openings (King's Indian, Nimzo-Indian, Bogo-Indian, Queen's Indian) and main lines of Queen's Gambit and Slav.

GM Firouzja was not able to find solution, maybe he was unprepared. Very smart research tactics by GM Artemiev!!

GM Aronian engaged GM Carlsen in a combat fight when two (2) center passed pawns starts to move forward. At move 34...Ra8, GM Carlsen sacrificed his queen but GM Aronian declined it.
